Playdates, co-produced with London Museum.

The Role sWe are seeking to cast3 performers to play Robin and
Andi Brewen
, cousins in the Brewen family
.
Playing age: 20-45.
Gender:We welcome people of all genders to apply for either role
Casting will include 1 swing, who will need to play both roles. All cast members will have an equal number of performances.
We are looking for performers who can convey believable characters who should feel true to life, rather than larger than life, and have a sense of 'naturalism' within their performance style. Performers will need to be as comfortable speaking privately to one family as they are addressing a room of 90 audience members.
The Brewens are a family who have lived and worked in and around East London for generations. Their heritage reflects this with family and extended family members from all over the world. They may have Irish, Caribbean, Eastern European, Bangladeshi and Jewish family members and casting will seek to reflect this.
- Robin Brewen
The younger of the two. They are a little bit buttoned up and more eager to appear professional and proficient. They are also far more eager to believe Granny Brewen’s old tales about all of London’s myths, lore and legends.
A little bit older than Robin, they are more laid back but quick witted and kind. They are entirely convinced that Granny Brewen made all her stories about Guardian Pigeons and the rest of her tales up, to entertain her gaggle of grandchildren, but Andi loved her for that and is keen to talk about their legendary grandmother.
