Recruitment and HR Officer

Location: Newcastle City Centre

Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Hybrid Working (3 days in the office, 2 WFH)

Hours: 40 hours per week (Flexible start/finish times)

The Role

As HR Administrator - Recruitment & HR Officer, you will play a key role in supporting both recruitment and wider HR administration across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising regularly with care home management teams to identify and understand current vacancies
  • Proactively managing all company vacancies (posting, updating and removing roles on internal systems and job boards)
  • Screening CVs to assess candidate suitability
  • Supporting shortlisting processes with home administrators and managers
  • Reviewing interview feedback and communicating outcomes to candidates
  • Supporting candidates throughout the recruitment journey
  • Managing recruitment inquiries via telephone and inbox
  • Advising and guiding hiring managers on recruitment processes and best practice
  • Updating Head Office recruitment boards with live vacancies
  • Working closely with the Recruitment Compliance Officer following appointments
  • Acting as note taker in investigation and disciplinary hearings
  • Providing general HR administrative support as required
The Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced within an HR or recruitment role (essential)
  • Knowledgeable in Right to Work documentation, including overseas applications and sponsorship (essential)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment with a varied workload
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • A proactive and supportive team player
  • Professional, discreet and able to manage confidential information
