Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are delighted to have been retained by a rapidly growing organisation to recruit a Group HR Director.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a business at a pivotal point in its growth journey. Employing more than 1,300 people globally, the organisation has expanded significantly across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and the Americas - with further ambitious growth ahead.

Reporting into the CFO and operating as a key member of the senior leadership team, the Group HR Director will lead a global people function through regional HR leaders and work closely with the Board and senior stakeholders across the organisation.

You will take ownership of developing and delivering a global People and Culture strategy that supports the next phase of growth, whilst building brilliant foundations of structure, process and technology.

There is plenty to build on, but this isn't a role for someone looking to inherit a finished HR function. The successful person will need to be comfortable creating structure where it is needed, bringing people with them and balancing strategy with the ability to roll their sleeves up.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to make a visible difference. The organisation is growing at pace, and there is genuine scope to shape what the global People function looks like for the future.

International experience will be particularly important. We are looking for someone who understands the complexity of operating across multiple jurisdictions, cultures and geographies and who has previously helped an organisation scale.

Experience with in engineering, consultancy or professional services would be helpful, although international experience and evidence of successfully supporting growth are more important than a particular sector background.

The role can be based in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester or London, with a hybrid working approach, 3 days a week on site. International travel will be required from time to time.
