HR Administrator (Part‑Time, 6‑Month FTC)

25 hours per week | Newcastle

Are you an organised and people‑focused HR professional looking for a part‑time role within a leading Newcastle‑based organisation? Our client is seeking an HR Administrator to join their People Team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, providing essential HR and recruitment support across the business.

This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in keeping HR processes running smoothly, supporting colleagues throughout their employment journey, and assisting with recruitment activity during busy periods.

What you’ll be doing

* Providing day‑to‑day HR administrative support across onboarding, induction, probation, absence, benefits and offboarding

* Maintaining employee records and updating HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality

* Preparing contracts, offer letters and employee documentation to support recruitment and new starter processes

* Coordinating inductions and ensuring managers receive timely probation reminders

* Managing the HR inbox, responding to queries and escalating where appropriate

* Supporting the HR Advisor with people development activities and low‑level ER administration

* Assisting with recruitment coordination — scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, posting vacancies and supporting hiring managers

* Helping gather data from new starter and manager surveys to identify trends and improvements

What we’re looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

* HR administration or HR coordination experience

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Confidence handling confidential information

* A proactive, supportive approach and great communication skills

* Experience supporting recruitment processes or coordinating candidate activity

Why apply?

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative People Team where you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of HR and recruitment activities. Perfect for someone seeking part‑time hours while continuing to build their HR career
