Leicester, London or Manchester

The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.

We are actively looking to secure a Test Engineer to join Experis.

Job Purpose/

The Role:

This role forms part of a government organisations flagship customs transformation programme, joining an experienced delivery team focused on supporting and enhancing IBM's testing of the UK's central Customs application.

Your

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a high‑profile national transformation programme by supporting the testing of a large‑scale, central government application.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand and validate user and system requirements.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive test scenarios based on functional and non‑functional requirements.
  • Execute test cases to assess system functionality, accuracy, performance, and reliability.
  • Document test outcomes, identify defects, and track issues through to resolution.
  • Work closely with the wider delivery team to enhance testing processes and support continuous improvement activities.
  • Help ensure the quality and robustness of a mission‑critical system used across core national services.
Your

Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years UK residency
  • Hands‑on experience with Performance Testing
  • Working knowledge of Cucumber for automated testing
  • Proficiency in Java
  • Experience using JIRA for work management and issue tracking
  • Familiarity with Confluence for documentation and collaboration
