Desktop Support Engineer

About the Role

MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen our IT team with a Desktop Support Engineer based at Hattersley with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Head of IT and your role will cover supporting end user IT services at MWH Treatment.

• Provide highly skilled IT support and convey resolutions to customer IT issues.
• Respond and self-manage IT support tickets within the Service Level Management tool.
• Track, route, and redirect problems to correct resources if required. Keep users informed of progress.
• Talk users through problem‑solving processes.
• Follow up with customers, provide feedback, and see problems through to resolution.
• Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers’ expectations.
• Ensure proper recording, creating or updating documentation.
• Preserve and grow your knowledge of the company’s procedures, products, and services.
• Manage and support hardware and software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Provide support for all Line of Business (LOB) applications.

• Expertise in hardware and software support.
• Support experience with Windows 11, network protocols, and M365 apps.
• Experience using Microsoft Intune, Application Packaging, Power Shell, and Autopilot.
• Experience in supporting Line of Business (LOB) applications.
• Experience with meeting room AV technical hardware solutions, office network technology, and print technology.
• Understanding of asset management.
• Experience in Join, Maintain, Leave (JML) processes.
