Data Engineer

Salary: £66, per year

• We require a 2:1 or 1st in a relevant subject such as Computing Science, Maths, or Physics.
• We require demonstrable experience working as a Data Engineer.
• We require experience as a Data Engineer in hedge fund, private equity, or investment banking.
• Hedge fund or private equity experience is essential.
• We require expertise in designing and building data pipelines.
• We require proficiency in SQL, Python, AWS, and other data management technologies.
• We require familiarity with version control systems such as Git and orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• We require the ability to test and troubleshoot data platforms reliably.
• We require a track record of improving data reliability and quality.
• We require excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• We require a self-starter who is detail-oriented and open to learning new technologies and methodologies.

• We build data pipelines into our central data platform from external vendors, sell-side partners, and other providers.
• We develop, test, and maintain our data platform to ensure availability, reliability, and integrity of critical data.
• We contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our platform so it aligns with changing business requirements.
• We test the system regularly and troubleshoot issues when necessary.
• We maintain the platform to enable uninterrupted access to crucial data points.
• We continuously verify data quality and integrity.
• We collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve data accessibility and usability.
• We drive innovation by adopting advanced analytics technologies and methodologies.
