Technical Business Analyst Newcastle (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Business Analyst to join one of the world's leading technology and consulting organisations, delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes across the public sector.
This role is ideal for a Business Analyst with a strong technical understanding who enjoys working closely with developers, architects, product owners and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into high-quality digital solutions.
The RoleYou'll be responsible for bridging the gap between business and technology, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, prioritised and delivered within Agile software development teams.
Working on complex transformation programmes you'll:
- Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria
- Create process maps, functional specifications and technical documentation
- Work closely with developers, architects, testers and UX teams throughout delivery
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders
- Support backlog refinement and sprint planning
- Perform business impact assessments
- Support testing, defect triage and implementation activities
- Identify risks, dependencies and technical constraints
- Contribute to business change, communications and training activities
- 5-5+ years' Business Analysis experience within software delivery
- Strong Agile experience (Scrum or Kanban)
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Ability to write high-quality User Stories
- Process modelling experience (UML, BPMN or similar)
- SQL experience for analysing and validating data
- Experience working with developers, architects and QA teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of APIs, integrations and modern software architecture
- AWS, Azure or Salesforce exposure
- UX/Wire framing tools (Figma, Balsamiq)
- BA certification (BCS/IIBA)
- Public Sector delivery experience
- Hybrid working (3 days onsite in Newcastle)
