Automation QA Engineer

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

We’re working with a leading tech company in the North East who are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to play a key role in maintaining the quality and reliability of their cutting-edge platform.
This hybrid role requires 2 days a week in the Newcastle-upon-Tyne office.

What you’ll be doing :

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworks

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and apply the right testing methodologies

Identify opportunities to enhance automation across the testing process, improving efficiency and coverage

Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure platform stability during new feature rollouts

Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues quickly

Create and maintain test data, environments, and harnesses required for automated testing

Monitor, analyse, and report on test results to key stakeholders

Proactively contribute to improving testing processes and practices across the team

Keep up to date with the latest QA tools and best practices, sharing insights with the wider team

What they're looking for:

Strong proficiency in C#Experience in automation testing, including functional and data validation

Ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive test cases

Experience working with APIs, databases, and version control systems (e.g. Git)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive improvements
