Do you have a passion for information security and a desire to help us improve our cyber resilience?

We’re looking for a talented Senior Information Security Analyst to join our security team at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

What you’ll do

At CAF, every one of us contributes to our impact, and as our Senior Information Security Analyst you too will play an integral part in what we do.

The role supports a multi-disciplinary security team in which all analysts will work on a mixture of security operations, assurance, and governance activities, with significant cross-training. To support this model, we are looking for a senior information security analyst with a mixture of hands‑on security operations experience using tools such as Microsoft Sentinel and Defender; and understanding of how these relate to risk management at all levels of the organisation.

You will be able to effectively triage, prioritise and communicate key activities and mentor junior analysts in how to deliver security value.

As our Senior Information Security Analyst, you will:

  • Assure CAF security controls are functioning effectively and identify control improvements that are required
  • Project security support to technology change projects, ensuring they meet security best practices
  • Support security operations including vulnerability management and the investigation of security incidents
  • Maintain policies and procedures in line with evolving industry best practice
  • Actively promote Information Security including education and awareness throughout CAF
  • Mentor and support junior members of the team
  • Work as part of a 24x7 support rota
Who you’ll be

This role is for you if you have experience of working in Information or Cyber Security and are keen to make a difference to society. We are looking for:

  • Significant experience of working with the Microsoft Security suite and understand how security tooling can be used for managing risk
  • A demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for security with a willingness to learn
  • A strong understanding of Risk Assessment frameworks and methodologies
  • The ability to explain complex security issues in a fashion that could be understood by non-technical people.
  • Proactive self-starters with an eye for detail and a strong customer focus.
What’s in it for you

At CAF you will receive:

  • Permanent hybrid ways of working where roles allow
  • A wide range of development opportunities to support personal and professional growth
  • Pension scheme with better-than-market employer contribution options
