About the Role

Hays Technology are working with a leading organisation to recruit a Cyber Resilience Specialist to support a high-profile Operational Resilience programme. This role will focus on linking cyber threats, vulnerabilities, security controls and response scenarios to business service impacts and Operational Resilience outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with security, technology operations, risk teams and service owners to strengthen resilience capabilities and support strategic resilience objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess cyber threats, vulnerabilities and security controls in relation to operational resilience outcomes.
  • Develop and support severe but plausible cyber resilience scenarios and testing activities.
  • Translate security findings into business service impacts and resilience risks.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across technology, security, risk and operational teams.
  • Support governance, reporting, RAID management and resilience assurance activities.

    Contribute to service mapping, impact tolerance assessments and resilience planning.
  • Provide clear recommendations and actionable improvements to strengthen resilience capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Cyber Resilience, Cybersecurity Operations, Incident Response, Threat Management or Vulnerability Management.
  • Strong understanding of security controls, SOC operations, detection, response and recovery processes.
  • Experience translating technical cyber risks into business impacts and operational outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Operational Resilience principles including Important Business Services (IBS), impact tolerances and service mapping.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within regulated environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable Experience
  • Knowledge of DORA, NIS2, ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Experience designing and facilitating cyber resilience scenario testing.
  • Governance, RACI and RAID management experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale Operational Resilience programmes.
What You'll Need to Succeed

You’ll be an experienced cybersecurity professional who can bridge the gap between technical security risks and business resilience requirements. You’ll be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and working within established governance and operational resilience frameworks.
