The Role A growing technology business is looking for a skilled Sys Ops / Dev Ops Engineer to help build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure underpinning its platforms. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, automation, and performance.
You will play a key role in ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and highly available in a fast-paced, real-time environment. Working closely with engineering, product, and external partners, you will support robust infrastructure and smooth deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities Maintain and scale both cloud infrastructure and on-premise environments
Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops Maintain secure and resilient network infrastructure, including connectivity with third-party providers
Ensure platform reliability through effective alerting and incident response
Monitor system performance and collaborate with QA and technical teams to drive continuous improvement
Support efficient development and release practices alongside engineering and product teams
Troubleshoot production issues in a time-sensitive environment
Implement automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Dev Ops practices, tooling, and standards
Explore and leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and monitoring capabilities
Provide support for global users across multiple time zones
Required Skill Set Solid understanding of infrastructure, system administration, and deployment workflows
Experience with Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD pipeline automation
Experience managing cloud infrastructure, networking, and private network connectivity
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including security principles
Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
Understanding of web hosting platforms (e.g. IIS, Nginx)
Familiarity with high-availability or real-time systems (experience in financial services environments advantageous)
Exposure to or interest in AI-assisted tooling for scripting, automation, or monitoring
