Are you an experienced HR Systems, MI or Analytics professional with strong Power BI experience and a track record of delivering improvements across HR systems and processes? We are working exclusively with a leading digital transformation organisation to recruit a Senior Systems & MI Analyst into their People & Culture function in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being more than a reporting analyst.

Youll combine HR systems, data and analytics, business partnering and project delivery, helping the organisation make better decisions through meaningful insight and smarter technology. About the role You will work closely with senior stakeholders across People & Culture and the wider business, translating business requirements into practical system and reporting solutions. A major part of the role will be building and developing Power BI reporting and dashboards, analysing the data and, importantly, communicating the story behind the numbers to non-technical audiences.

You will also play a key role in HR systems development, continuous improvement, automation and programme delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, building and delivering HR reports and Power BI dashboards. Analysing people data and translating complex information into clear, meaningful business insight. Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective system solutions. Supporting and delivering HR system enhancements, implementations and upgrades. Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes through technology, automation and continuous improvement. Leading and coordinating UAT, including test planning, execution, defect management and stakeholder communication.

Providing second-line support for HR systems and resolving more complex queries within agreed SLAs. Supporting system governance, data integrity and regular auditing of people data. Working with internal teams, suppliers and developers to ensure solutions are delivered effectively. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert across HR systems, data and analytics. Coaching and supporting colleagues in problem solving, technical solutioning and delivering a value-added service.

What we're looking for You will ideally have experience working within an HR/People, HRIS or HR Systems environment, combined with strong analytical and technical capability. We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
Strong hands-on Power BI experience this is essential. Experience creating and developing reports and dashboards rather than simply consuming existing MI. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience delivering HR systems projects, programmes or implementations. Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into clear technical specifications.

Experience with UAT, testing, defect management and system enhancements. HR systems administration experience, including data governance, security/access and system maintenance. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences. A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement. Advanced Excel skills. Power Automate experience would be advantageous but is not essential. What will make you stand out?

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate tangible delivery and measurable impact. For example, tell us about a time when you:
Built a reporting solution that changed how HR or the wider business used data. Automated a manual process and saved time or improved efficiency. Delivered an HR systems enhancement or implementation. Identified a problem within HR data or processes and developed a solution. Used data to influence a senior stakeholder or improve a business decision. This is a role where what you've delivered matters just as much as what you've been responsible for.

The role offers the opportunity to become a key Systems, Data & Analytics SME within the HR function while working on projects that have a real impact on how the organisation operates.
