This is a permanent post as Deputy Chief Scientific Adviser and Science Office Deputy Director in Justice Digital, Data & Science at the Ministry of Justice, sitting alongside the Data Directorate. The postholder supports the Chief Scientific Adviser in giving strategic scientific advice and leads the Science Office's research, development and innovation portfolio. Its remit covers science advice, behavioural science, futures and emerging technology across policy and operational teams, and full-time, part-time, job-share and flexible patterns are all listed.
Security clearance (SC) is required.
- Lead the Science Office and its research, development and innovation portfolio
- Support the Chief Scientific Adviser in providing strategic scientific advice across the Ministry of Justice
- Ensure policy, operational delivery and investment decisions are underpinned by robust evidence
- Embed science and technology across Ministry of Justice priorities
- Security clearance (SC)
