Lycetts Insurance Brokers, part of Benefact Group, is looking for an Underwriter to join our Newcastle office. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage and expand a renewal portfolio, work closely with brokers, help shape new products and build strong relationships across the insurance sector.

• Manage and grow a renewal and new business portfolio
• Cross-train across various binders and sectors
• Collaborate with the broking team to streamline renewals and improve client outcomes
• Help establish new products and build relationships with insurers and account executives
• Provide expert advice and solutions to the broking arm
• Standardise and automate processes through innovative technology deployment
• Be part of a growing team

• Previous insurance industry knowledge, experience in Farm & Estate or Commercial underwriting (we welcome candidates at all experience levels)
• Insatiable appetite to learn and positive, solution-focused mindset
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to build and nurture productive relationships across the broader team

• Cert CII qualified
