POSITION:
Insurance Account Handler - Private HNW clients
Location:
Kent
Start: ASAP
Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 depending on experience
Working hours:
9:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday to Friday)
Our client is an established member based organization offering advice and solutions to private listed property owners in the UK. They provide high-quality insurance service designed to support the needs of listed property owners. They are on the lookout for highly motivated, experienced Insurance Brokers/Underwriters who want to develop their career within a fast-growing business. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude and self-discipline to deliver personal objectives, whilst also demonstrating a team working attitude to meet overall business targets.
The business trades with a wide range of leading UK Insurers and have developed their own bespoke products designed for needs of their members where they have high levels of underwriting authority and control.
- Providing an excellent level of service to clients on enquiries, new business quotations, MTA’s and renewals
- Building relationships with key clients and insurer partners
- Handling all enquiries in a professional manner and in line with service standards and regulatory requirements
- Recording all relevant information, correspondence and documentation on Acturis system and making effective use of the diary system
- Underwriting large household risks up to your individual underwriting authority
- Contributing to, and working with the wider team, in achieving the business plan including conversion, retention, revenue and loss ratio objectives.
- Good level of school or university education
- 2 years’ experience in Household and Personal Lines, ideally in Non-standard and HNW
- Experience of working with Acturis is desired but not essential
- Good level of technical insurance skills
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Good negotiation and broking skills
- Ability to identify and respond appropriately to an individual client’s level of understanding
