Senior Claims Adjuster – Financial Lines

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster – Financial Lines , on behalf of a leading London Market Insurer.

Key Responsibilities Handling standard and complex claims on Financial Lines policies. Inputting and maintaining accurate claims records, including reserves and payments, for designated accounts. Processing standard and complex indemnity and expense payments. Preparing cases for settlement of claims through payment or denial. Producing management information reports, such as monthly major claims movements. Preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate. Reporting loss information internally and externally.

Key Requirements

Experience of handling traditional UK Professional Indemnity claims is key for the role. Knowledge of D&O and FI claims is advantageous. Solid experience in handling Corporate or Specialty line claims, with a focus on Financial Lines claims. Preferably a degree in Law or another appropriate discipline, along with a professional insurance qualification. Good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework. Understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, and avoidance techniques.

Knowledge of reserving principles and practices; robust understanding of coinsurance and reinsurance and their application. ;
