Office Attendance
- You'll start your journey with a minimum of 6 weeks of office-based training Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00, to give you the skills, knowledge and support to succeed. Thereafter, Shifts will be between 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Once fully competent in role, you'll have the opportunity to move to hybrid working, subject to meeting the required criteria.

Why this role?At Tesco Insurance and Money Services, our Claims team does more than handle claims. We support customers through some of life's most challenging moments, helping them navigate difficult situations with empathy, expertise and care.
We're looking for Claims Handlers to join our Third Party Assist Team. In this role, you'll proactively manage and support third-party motor claims, helping customers access repair and mobility solutions while delivering excellent service and controlling claims costs.
Working in a specialist area of claims handling, you'll engage directly with non-fault third parties, building relationships, influencing outcomes and identifying solutions that benefit both customers and the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an insurance or sales background, or an interest in motor insurance, who enjoys feeling empowered to make decisions, customer interaction, problem-solving and negotiation.
What you’ll be doing- Proactively contacting non-fault third parties and promoting the benefits of our repair and mobility services and solutions.
- Building positive relationships with customers through effective communication, helping them navigate their circumstances and achieve the right outcome.
- Negotiating with third-party stakeholders and suppliers to deliver fair outcomes while controlling costs and protecting business interests.
- Managing claim progress and departmental priorities, including monitoring ongoing hire and repair activity.
- Identifying, investigating and escalating potential fraud concerns in line with company processes and procedures.
- Supporting the efficient handling and settlement of claims while delivering a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to influence, persuade and explain information clearly to a variety of customers and stakeholders.
- Strong ownership and decision-making capability, with the confidence to take responsibility within agreed authority levels and identify solutions that meet both customer and business needs.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage workloads effectively while maintaining high standards of service.
- A resilient and adaptable approach, with the ability to overcome objections whilst demonstrating empathy in challenging situations, a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively through change.
