, are looking for an Account Handler to join our Newcastle Upon Tyne, or Catterick office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Lycetts as an Account Handler
, where you’ll deliver high-quality insurance support to clients and prospects, with a focus on new business leads. You’ll manage enquiries from start to finish, ensuring accurate, compliant processing and acting as a key point of contact to provide advice and build strong relationships.
Working with your Team Manager, you’ll help drive conversion and growth by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities, while liaising with insurers and negotiating terms within your authority to ensure a smooth and professional service.

What you'll be doingManage new business opportunities from initial enquiry through to successful placement and conversion.
Prepare, present and negotiate insurance quotations, securing cover that meets clients' needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, delivering a seamless client experience throughout the sales journey.
Provide a responsive, high-quality service, ensuring client and broker enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally.
Support policy administration, premium processing and documentation to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximise business growth and client retention.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Continuously develop product knowledge, market awareness and professional expertise to deliver informed client solutions.
Experience in general insurance or a similar client-handling/business environment.
Experience of processing new business, including quotation, placement and policy documentation.
Demonstrable experience of liaising with insurers and clients directly.
Experience managing a portfolio of accounts, including cross‑selling opportunities.
Cert CII qualification (or working towards) or demonstrable equivalent industry experience
