Purpose of the role
Technology Services Technician based at the Longbridge depot, CV35 8AA
, working on behalf of National Highways under the Area 9 Maintenance & Response contract. You will deliver both cyclical and reactive works, safeguard health and safety for yourself and others, and keep your skills and knowledge up‑to‑date.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and set a good example for colleagues.
- Deliver technology cyclical works and respond to incidents during your shift.
- Report directly to the Technology Supervisor on health and safety and progress, and to the Technology Manager/Supervisor on activities undertaken.
- Use a range of hand & power tools and operate plant, including Hiab and MEWP.
- Perform any other duties reasonably requested.
- Work mainly Monday to Friday day shift with night shifts as required, ensuring environmental protection and compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in highways or an electrical background, or be willing to learn and pursue a long‑term career in this field. A full UK driving licence is required. You should be able to work independently, be forward‑thinking, a good communicator, hardworking, and collaborative in identifying root causes and delivering a proactive maintenance approach.
Package Description- Salary £32,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience and licences); uplifts for night shifts and overtime paid at time and a half.
- 45‑hour week, Monday to Friday.
