Cleaner at St John Vianney RC Primary School

We are proud to be an accredited Real Living Wage Council, paying all employees a minimum of £13.45 per hour. This role is based at St John Vianney Primary, Hillhead Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE5 1DN
. The position is a cleaner working 10 hours per week, from 6:00 am to 8:00 am Monday to Friday. The hourly rate is £13.45.

Reliable, friendly people with a positive attitude. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. Applicants must be able to understand basic written and spoken English.

Working as part of a team, you will clean designated areas such as corridors, classrooms, offices and toilet areas. Duties include emptying bins, mopping and vacuuming floors, and regular stooping, bending and lifting. You will use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.

The role is part of regulated activity; a DBS check and other recruitment checks will be carried out. Applicants must provide valid  DBS processing.

Facility Services and Civic Management serve the city and Gateshead, providing building cleaning, caretaking services, school meals, and welfare catering. We have a large team of cleaners, supervisors, caretakers, catering staff, assistant chefs and chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.
