Facility Supervisor

Location: Hadrian School, Benwell.

Salary: £29,064 - £31,022 per annum (pay award pending)

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 37 hours per week (split shift)

• &  Monday to Thursday
• 7.00-9.30 &  Friday

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills, the ability to work with limited supervision, be capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment, materials/furniture, and be able to climb ladders. Caretaking experience in a school would be an advantage.

You must be able to undertake the split shift requirements of the role.

As a Facility Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• The security of the premises, setting alarms, and general health and safety issues relating to the building.
• Porterage duties and the supervision of cleaning staff.
• Managing varying workloads and the cleaning of a defined area while managing your own time.
• Providing a degree of flexibility around key events in the school calendar such as parents evenings, governing body meetings, Christmas and summer fairs.
• Being available to undertake lettings for the school when required.
• Building positive, collaborative relationships with staff, children and parents.
• Delivering to required standards and maintaining a high standard of service delivery and customer care.

• Good communications skills and the ability to work independently.
• Capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting, carrying and climbing ladders.
• Ability to undertake split shift working.
• Experience in caretaking within a school is an advantage.
• Successful background checks including a DBS check and police information check.
• Full driving licence if you wish to work overtime driving the school minibus.
