This is the job

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces. You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently. With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.

will I be doing?

Communicator
  • Clearly explain diagnostics and repairs so customers feel confident and informed
Self-starter
  • Work independently across multiple locations and environments
Problem solver
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues at customer appointments and roadside locations
Customer champion
  • Represent the AA as a trusted expert and reassuring presence for our members
Business builder
  • Take ownership of your local area, building relationships and creating opportunities to grow demand
What do I need?
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment
  • Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points)
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
