Senior Claims Manager

An established specialist claims consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Manager to lead a team and manage a varied caseload of complex marine and commercial claims.

This is a hands-on role combining technical claims handling, stakeholder management, and people leadership, with a strong focus on delivering efficient, high-quality outcomes for clients.

• Managing a diverse portfolio of claims, including complex liability matters
• Leading, mentoring, and performance-managing a team of claims professionals
• Investigating, negotiating, and settling claims within agreed authority levels
• Building and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships
• Representing clients in mediation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution forums
• Providing clear written and verbal reporting to senior stakeholders
• Supporting loss prevention initiatives and continuous improvement

• Significant experience in a senior claims handling or management role
• Strong technical knowledge and confident decision-making ability
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Commercially aware, well-organised, and able to work autonomously
• Comfortable operating in a changing, fast-paced environment
