Overview

Nomad are on the lookout for an experienced Cluster Delivery Manager to join our global Delivery division.

The role of Cluster Delivery Manager involves wearing two hats:
Cluster Delivery Manager and Project Manager. As a Cluster Delivery Manager, which constitutes 30% of the role, the individual is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects within the designated region, ensuring adherence to Nomad Policies and Procedures. This includes maintaining high standards in all areas, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed on time, safely and within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The remaining 70% of the role involves directly leading and executing projects as a Project Manager. This includes organizing and maintaining rigorous control over all projects, reporting progress, addressing and resolving project issues, and ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders. The Cluster Delivery Manager will also be the first point of escalation for issues within the portfolio and will work closely with other business leaders to secure necessary resources and ensure timely collection of cash.

Additionally, the job will require travel from time to time, with occasional extended stays abroad for certain projects

This role is a hybrid role based in our Newcastle, UK office.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake the role of Project Manager on a number of projects and/or tenders
  • Fully accountable for the portfolio of projects allocated within the region, ensuring successful delivery to the agreed time, cost and quality.
  • Organizing and maintaining a rigorous control on all projects, reporting progress in-line with company policies.
  • Good communication between all stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Maintain key relationships with all stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Be the first point of escalation for issues within your portfolio.
  • Work with other business leaders to ensure the timely collection of cash.
  • Identifying, addressing and resolving project issues.
  • Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that might affect the projects within the portfolio.
  • Working with departmental heads to secure the necessary provision of resources.
  • Developing and managing individuals and teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across the organization to support the Company strategy and goals.
  • Look to develop and improve on company processes.
  • Project close out.
  • English mandatory, French and Spanish are an asset.
Qualifications
  • University degree either technical / business / project mgmt. or equivalent professional experience
  • Preferably PMP certified or able to demonstrate at least significant project management experience
  • Membership of a Professional Technical society or institution
