Adderstone Living is looking for a Development Assistant to work within its land team based in the North East.

Adderstone Living’s ‘land led’ solutions involve the sourcing of suitable land, scheme design and securing of planning permissions before delivering quality homes, working collaboratively with Local Authority, private developer or housing association clients.
Our land team is based in our recently refurbished head office in The Fleming which is a short distance from the city centre and Jesmond metro station. This is a full time, permanent role and will be office based.
The RoleWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Development Assistant to support our land team across a variety of land and planning matters. The ideal candidate will have at least one year’s post graduate experience in the development sector, ideally with a background in planning, and is looking to expand their skills and knowledge in relation to land and planning including land contracts, affordable housing and planning applications.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression after a successful probationary period.
- Assisting the land team with site reviews and planning appraisals,
- Preparing a range of land and planning related reports for a variety of audiences,
- Appointing sub consultants and management of development teams,
- Organising and attending public consultation events,
- Managing project files and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements,
- Identifying suitable sites for future development.

- A planning or property related degree or post graduate qualification,
- Previous experience in a land or planning role, ideally within the residential or affordable sector,
