ABL 1 Touch are a market leading vehicle repair business since 1994, working in partnership with insurance companies. We’re looking to recruit a Roaming Bodyshop Manager to cover the North East Region (Darlington, Gateshead & Newcastle). Regular travel and overnight stays will be required so flexibility is key!

Our Roaming Bodyshop Manager will provide essential leadership and operational support across multiple sites in an allocated region. This role ensures seamless continuity by filling in Production Manager and Assistant Production Manager gaps, overseeing site and employee performance, safety, quality and customer service.
Flexibility will be required for overnight stays and travel.
Responsibilities of a Roaming Bodyshop Manager will include:- Deliver accurate planning and forecasting to deliver JPD in line with business strategy and budget
- Engage, motivate and lead the team to deliver the required production output
- Manage day to day activities to ensure efficient use of time and resource
- Produce accurate job cards with methods ensuring all paperwork is followed and completed comprehensively
- Adhere to company processes across parts, site control, sub contracting and valeting
- Monitor, maintain and improve safety and quality standards, ensuring they are at the heart of everything
- Previous experience in a workshop control or management position in accident repair
- Strong people management experience, with the ability to lead a team to deliver results – lead by example
- Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience and an understanding of modern repair processes and techniques
- Pro‑active approach to managing the customer journey – customer focused and eager to get it right first time
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well organised with an ability to multi‑task and manage a varied workload
- Good attention to detail and comfortable using MS office
- Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Upbeat and friendly personality
- Technical skills, knowledge and experience of body and paint repair in the retail motor industry
- Full Driving Licence, Flexibility to travel and also overnight stays where required
