Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Learning Disabilities / Challenging Behaviours) Sudbury, Suffolk £55,000 – £60,000 per annum benefits Are you an experienced and passionate Registered Manager looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated leader to oversee a children’s residential home in Sudbury, supporting young people with learning disabilities and complex challenging behaviours.
The Role As the Ofsted Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and outcomes for children and young people. You will lead and inspire a team to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that supports young people with learning disabilities to manage challenging behaviours and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Register with Ofsted as the Home’s Registered Manager Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards Lead, develop, and support a dedicated care team Deliver high-quality, person-centred care plans tailored to individual needs Support and manage complex and challenging behaviours using therapeutic approaches Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals Drive continuous improvement and achieve positive inspection outcomes Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance processes Requirements Proven experience as a Registered Manager (or strong Deputy ready to step up) within children’s residential care Experience working with young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and compliance frameworks Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) Excellent leadership, resilience, and decision-making skills A genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer Salary between £55,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience) Performance-related bonuses (if applicable) Supportive senior leadership team Ongoing professional development and training Opportunity to shape and develop a high-quality service Generous holiday allowance and benefits package Why Join Us?
