PE Global Recruitment is currently working with Europe's leading Data Centre delivery partner to recruit a Mechanical Project Manager to join a brand-new Data Centre Construction project in Blyth.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee all aspects of the mechanical scope of works, ensuring delivery in line with project specifications, schedule, and budget.
- Analyse, track, and manage critical milestone activities to prevent schedule delays.
- Review construction proposals, including scope and cost assessments.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, package managers, supervisors and foremen.
- Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, to ensure clear communication and alignment on goals.
- Liaise with design teams and subcontractors to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Take a leading role in driving productivity through effective weekly and daily work plans.
- Plan and coordinate day-to-day site operations in conjunction with package managers.
- Oversee and manage subcontractor performance, tracking progress against schedule and manpower requirements.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors operating in shared work areas to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient progress.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing large-scale Mechanical projects such as commercial offices, retail, hotels, schools, or data centres.
- Data centre project experience is highly desirable.
- Trade or Engineering qualification preferred, with recent experience in managing major electrical contracts.
- Proven experience in Mechanical Project Management, with the ability to effectively control scope, schedule, and budget.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing large installation projects, ideally within data centre delivery or other large-scale mechanical environments.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical design and build systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and associated services.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Ability to drive progress and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
