My client, a leading financial services organisation with over 500 employees, is looking to appoint a Training Manager to support the development and performance of their Client Relationship Management teams.
OverviewThis role will take ownership of the full training lifecycle, from onboarding new starters through to the ongoing development and upskilling of existing employees. You will also be responsible for managing a team of coaches and shaping the overall training strategy, with the opportunity to introduce new ideas and enhance the current approach.
Role- Design and deliver structured training programmes for new starters. Support the ongoing development of employees post‑training. Manage and develop a team of internal coaches. Build and implement a forward‑looking 6‑month training plan. Identify training needs using data, performance metrics, and feedback. Deliver a mix of classroom‑based and 1:1 training sessions. Continuously review and improve training effectiveness and engagement.
- Current training structure: 8‑week modular training programme. Combination of classroom‑based and 1:1 delivery. Weekly modules with knowledge testing. Opportunity to review and enhance the existing programme.
- Take ownership of the end‑to‑end training function.
- Ensure consistency and quality of training delivery across the team.
- Use data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Support performance outcomes through effective training interventions.
- Work closely with senior management to align training with business objectives.

- Additional metrics may be introduced as new technologies and tools are implemented.
The business is introducing AI‑driven tools to assess call quality, tone, and sentiment, which will support performance analysis and help identify training needs.
AutonomyThe successful candidate will have the autonomy to propose and implement improvements to the training programme, with final sign‑off from the Senior Management Team.
Candidate Requirements- Experience in training, learning and development, or coaching.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging training content.
- Organised with strong planning and time‑management skills.
- Experience using data to inform training decisions.
- Comfortable managing or supporting others within a training environment.
- Willingness to work towards a Level 4 qualification (supported by the business).
- £40,000 basic salary, OTE £51,000
