Accounting, Insight and Advisory Manager
RSM UK is seeking an experienced Accounting, Insight and Advisory Manager to join our growing national Finance Function Support solution in the Northern region. The role involves managing a portfolio of private and SME businesses, building client relationships, leading year end services, and guiding the AIA team.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the Accounting, Insight and Advisory (AIA) team.
- Lead a portfolio of clients primarily reporting under FRS 102 and FRS 105, ensuring accurate budgeting, WIP management and billing.
- Drive the end to end engagement process, including timeline management, client and team coordination, review procedures and overall delivery.
- Provide coaching, training and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and facilitate professional growth.
- Review the work of Assistants and Supervisors, support their development and maintain optimal team utilisation.
- Collaborate with other departments, especially tax, to meet agreed deadlines and resolve issues promptly.
- Report directly to Partners and Directors, contributing to business development and expanding internal networks.
- Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA or ACCA.
- Strong technical expertise in FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Experience in professional practice, preferably within an accounting advisory team.
- Proficient with Sage, Xero, Quick Books or other cloud accounting packages and CCH or similar professional accounts preparation software.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience managing and developing a finance team, including training, coaching and performance management.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
