OverviewAn opportunity to run a great branch – a well respected business with a huge range of construction supply products. We are recruiting an experienced Branch Manager / General Manager / Branch Director for a merchant that is liked by staff and customers alike.
Responsibilities- Run all aspects of the branch, including sales, negotiation and stock control.
- Organise and lead departmental managers to maximise sales and profitability.
- Analyse market intelligence, stock profiles and sales trends to anticipate future directions.
- Motivate and inspire the team, building and developing a high performing workforce.
- Maintain strong existing business relationships and develop a pipeline of new customers.
- Aim to grow and sustain a profitable operation, avoiding market share stagnation.
- Current or former Branch Manager in the Builder's Merchants or Construction Supply industry.
- Proven track record of growing and sustaining a profitable operation.
- Demonstrable experience in sales, negotiation and stock control.
- Strong determination and passion to lead and develop the business.
- Excellent managerial experience within the construction supply sector.
- Ability to analyse inventory, market intelligence and sales trends.
- Competitive salary £50,000 - £57,000 (DOE) and bonus.
