The Project Manager will take ownership of the implementation, progress and ultimate delivery of The Inn Collection Group’s (ICG) projects. This includes all planning, scheduling and financial aspects of each project.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with ICG’s project delivery process.
- Produce project reports using standard templates and ensure all information is up to date and reported to the Head of Projects and Property Director.
- Liaise with the finance team to develop accurate cost reports and inputs of cash flows.
- Develop Project Briefs with input from internal stakeholders and ensure that all appointed consultants are working in accordance with ICG’s requirements.
- Create and deliver project work plans and revise them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
- Identify risks and put in place mitigation plans as required.
- Manage day‑to‑day operational aspects of the project(s). Be an ambassador for Health and Safety and ensure subcontractors are working in a safe manner.
- Work closely with internal Facilities and Maintenance teams and ensure key maintenance items are captured during redevelopment where practicable.
- Manage smaller project works with both external contractors and internal Facilities and Maintenance teams.
- Ensure project documentation is kept up to date and accurately stored within the ICG project filing system.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s). Interrogate design team drawings to ensure suitability for tender and contract issue.
- Lead the design team to ensure project plans are understood and aligned.
- Compile and collate project documentation including project management process documents, technical/procurement specifications, progress reports, final documentation, etc. to support the project delivery.
- Ensure effective output from suppliers on progress reporting, change management, quality control and financial monitoring.
- Lead the decision‑making process during the design and construction phase.
- Actively review lessons learned from previous projects and ensure new issues are logged and raised internally.
- Lead the tender process when identifying newly appointed contractors. This will include planning, pricing evaluation and contract negotiation.
- Ensure deliverables are pushed over the line. Taking projects from 80% to 100% requires focus, persistence and attention to detail.
- The Project Manager has full ownership and accountability for ensuring successful delivery.
- Drive towards making savings with all supply chain activities. This could be in the form of setting up framework agreements or competitive tendering.
- Strive for programme savings or acceleration where possible.
- Explore phasing of works to minimise impact on business.
- Lead the estimating process for new acquisitions and baselining live projects.
- Lead design reviews and review all specifications and drawings to ensure ICG’s requirements are met.
- You can build strong rapport with colleagues and team members at all levels, ensuring successes are recognised, celebrated and communicated.
- You are able to communicate effectively and proactively with colleagues across all areas of the business, particularly in relation to project proposals, progress and timescales.
- You can demonstrate strong leadership and encourage it in others, acting as a positive ambassador for The Inn Collection Group and representing the business effectively.
- You are highly organised, with excellent coordination and time‑management skills, and are able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
- You are RICS accredited or hold a similar relevant professional qualification (desirable). Your values align with ours.
