We're looking for a Visitor Experience Manager to join the leadership team at the Hinton Group.
This is a strategic leadership role for someone passionate about people, places and nature. You'll lead the vision for visitor experience across a varied portfolio, helping to deliver our ambitions for growth, restoring nature and ending unequal access to heritage and green spaces. Through innovation, audience insight and strong leadership, you'll create inspiring experiences that connect more people with the National Trust and ensure our places thrive now and for ever
The role is expected to work across several different properties across Hampshire and West Sussex so you will need to be willing and able to travel.

What you'll be doingAs Visitor Experience Manager, you'll turn ambitious plans into action by working collaboratively with colleagues, communities, partners, staff and volunteers to develop innovative experiences, events and partnerships that grow audiences, deepen engagement and increase support for our work. You'll identify new opportunities to diversify income, maximise the potential of our places and deliver sustainable growth across the portfolio.
Leading and inspiring a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, you'll create an environment where people feel empowered to contribute ideas, develop their skills and deliver their best work. Strong people leadership, relationship building and communication skills will be essential as you bring others with you, build consensus and deliver results through collaboration.
You'll use insight, creativity and commercial awareness to shape future priorities, ensuring our offer remains relevant, compelling and financially resilient. As a member of the leadership team, you'll play a key role in business planning, influencing strategic direction and helping the portfolio achieve its ambitions for growth, access and public benefit
Who we're looking for- knowledge of storytelling, interpretive planning, and curatorial practices that bring heritage to life.
- ability to develop medium to long-term audience-led plans that align with organisational goals and audience needs
- experience in managing visitor services or public engagement in a tourism, heritage, museum, or cultural setting
- proven ability to use data and feedback to shape inclusive and relevant visitor experiences
- led and developed staff and/or volunteers to deliver high-quality service
- designed or co-created engaging interpretation and public programmes
- ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external partners to co-create experiences
