This role offers ten‑hour shifts Monday‑Wednesday, a seven‑hour shift on Thursday and then a three‑day weekend to focus on what’s most important to you.
Responsibilities- Support all aspects of facilities and manufacturing engineering within the heavy engineering operation.
- Support tooling and fixture design, equipment specification, and capital projects, while creating and maintaining process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure full compliance with HSE, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Provide hands‑on technical support to production teams, lead root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lead process validation and new activities, and analyse production data to optimise performance.
- Experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering (automotive / heavy industry desirable).
- Experience with CAD software, technical drawings, and knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, 8D).
- Local to Newcastle.
