Arcelor Mittal South Africa is looking to recruit Instrument Mechanics. The responsibilities include:

• Day-to-day maintenance of equipment
• High-level installation, commissioning, maintenance, and reconditioning of instrumentation equipment
• Implementation of systems within the instrumentation environment
• Completing tasks as requested by SAP work orders, notifications, schedules, and defect reports
• Performing advanced fault finding
• Accepting specific technical responsibilities during plant shutdowns and modifications
• Providing technical advisory and support to maintenance and production personnel
• Calibrating equipment such as transmitters, pH meters, valves
• Standby duties
• Development and improvement of products

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / N3 / NCV 3 (NQF
  4)

Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Advanced knowledge of instrumentation systems and maintenance of measuring and control equipment
• Knowledge of DCS and PLC systems
• ABB DCS knowledge is advantageous
• Rockwell PLC programming skills
