We are seeking a skilled Electrical Panel Wirer to join a well established manufacturing company. This role involves assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with various tools and technologies. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the electrical engineering sector.
Responsibilities- Assemble electrical control panels according to technical drawings and specifications
- Wire components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accuracy and safety standards are met
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and surface mount technology (SMT) components as required
- Conduct testing of assembled panels to verify functionality and troubleshoot issues
- Follow all health and safety regulations during assembly and wiring processes
- Maintain organised work areas and ensure documentation of work completed is accurate
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret schematics and resolve technical challenges
- Proven experience in electrical assembly or wiring, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in electrical wiring
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and surface mount technology (SMT) is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of assembly processes
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings effectively
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to panel construction is advantageous
- Prior experience working with electrical systems in industrial settings is preferred
- 12 week temp to perm
- Working days 07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday, early finish on a Friday
- £14 to £14.50 depending on experience
- Possibility for overtime
- Change to progress and learn different areas on the shop floor
