Manufacturing Engineer – Manufacturing
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Newcastle who are looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on, process‑driven individual to play a key role in improving production efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing capability.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) from concept through to production.
- Identify and implement process improvements, tooling solutions, and layout changes.
- Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to resolve technical and production issues.
- Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Lead or support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff.
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a production or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in process design, tooling, and production layout.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing
