Overview

As a Senior Media Officer, you will design, deliver and evaluate impactful media strategies to support Crisis’s mission to end homelessness. You will use print, digital and broadcast journalism to advocate for the solutions needed to tackle homelessness, and to inspire the public, businesses and politicians to join our mission.

Responsibilities
  • Develop high‑profile media and communications campaigns, including the annual Christmas appeal.
  • Secure high‑profile coverage in fast‑paced news and media environments.
  • Navigate competing priorities and influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take a creative approach to new media opportunities to support policy change and income generation.
  • Help raise the public and political profile of homelessness and highlight the human impact of Crisis’s work.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience working in a challenging, fast‑paced newsroom or media agency.
  • Expertise in securing media coverage and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of policy change and consumer media for income generation.
  • Exceptional news sense and the ability to identify and pursue high‑profile media opportunities.
