Temporary Marketing & Communications Officer

Newcastle City Centre Full-Time Temporary Contract & Immediate Start Available

Are you a creative and experienced Marketing & Communications professional available at short notice? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Newcastle City Centre for a Marketing & Communications Officer to provide temporary sickness cover.

This is an initial one-month assignment, with the potential for extension depending on business needs.

The Role

Working as part of a busy and supportive team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging marketing and communications activity across a range of digital and print channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, designing and distributing e-newsletters using Dot Digital
• Creating, scheduling and monitoring social media content through Hootsuite
• Designing creative assets for both digital and print campaigns using Canva
• Writing engaging copy for a variety of channels including:
  • E-newsletters
  • Social media platforms
  • Website content
  • Internal and external communications
• Uploading and maintaining website content using Word Press
• Supporting wider marketing and communications projects as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Marketing, Communications or Digital Marketing role
• Strong copywriting and content creation skills
• Hands-on experience using Dot Digital, Hootsuite, Canva, and Word Press
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
• A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently
