We are looking for a Communications Officer to raise the profile of Action Foundation and help us champion our services for refugees and asylum seekers across the North East. You will be an excellent writer with strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be confident in writing compelling client stories, producing compelling content creation, coordinating campaigns, managing our social media channels and media relationships.
Working within the Business Development and Communications Team, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, friendly and organised. You'll work with the Team to achieve greater engagement through increased volunteering in our services, giving (financial donations and gifts in kind) from new and existing supporters and influence/opportunities to sustain and develop our work. In return we can offer you a better work-life balance in a vibrant city and a chance to make a real difference to people's lives.

Reports to: Business Development & Communications Manager
Hours: 21 hours per week (flexible working spread across 3-4 days)
Location: Newcastle Office with option for Hybrid working
Contract: Permanent contract subject to passing a three-month probation period
Salary Scale: £27,794 – £30,688 (pro-rata) with 6% pension contribution
