Job Title: Practice Nurse

Hours: Part Time 18 – 20 hours per week (2-3 days). Working pattern is flexible and can be agreed with the successful candidate.

Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Balfron Health Centre for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. Balfron Health Centre is a well established GP Training Practice caring for approximately 3000 patients. Our clinical team includes two GP Partners, one salaried GP, one or two GP Trainees at any given time, one Practice Nurse and one Phlebotomist.

We also have an extensive multidisciplinary team which includes District Nurses, an Advanced Physio Practitioner, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Mental Health Nurse, a Midwife, a Health Visitor and Pharmacy colleagues.

Applicants must be NMC registered and will ideally have experience in Practice Nursing. The successful candidate will take a key role in delivering high quality chronic disease management and primary care nursing services including:

• Chronic disease management reviews (Asthma/COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension, prevention of Cardiovascular disease)
• Cervical Screening and Contraception
• ECGs
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
