We are looking for an experienced nurse with proven clinical leadership experience to join us as Clinical Lead.

Working alongside our Registered Manager, you will provide clinical leadership across the home, supporting our nursing and care teams to deliver safe, responsive and consistently high standards of care.

St Catherine's Nursing Home, part of St Cuthbert's Care, has achieved the Gold Standards Framework, reflecting our commitment to high-quality, person-centred care, including a proactive and compassionate approach as residents' needs change and towards the end of life.

Our approach is centred on knowing each resident as an individual, respecting their choices and ensuring they are treated with dignity, compassion and respect.

As Clinical Lead, you will:
  • Provide clinical leadership and promote excellent nursing practice across the home
  • Assess and review residents' clinical, health and social care needs, using your professional judgement to make appropriate clinical decisions
  • Oversee care planning and risk assessment, ensuring care remains safe, effective and responsive to individual needs
  • Work closely with residents, families and other health and social care professionals to plan and coordinate care
  • Provide professional guidance, supervision and support to nursing and care colleagues, helping them develop their skills and confidence
  • Maintain high clinical standards, ensuring practice meets NMC, CQC and organisational requirements
  • Work alongside the Registered Manager to support the safe and effective day-to-day running of the home, including residents' admission and discharge
About you

You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, bringing the experience, confidence and professional judgement needed to lead clinical practice and make sound decisions.

You will bring:
  • Proven nursing leadership experience
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
  • Experience of nursing within older people's care, ideally within a nursing or care home environment
  • Strong knowledge of care planning, assessment and risk management
  • A good understanding of clinical governance and regulatory requirements
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop colleagues and promote best practice
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and other professionals
  • A genuine commitment to treating people with compassion, dignity and respect
