Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to join a growing manufacturing business in Newcastle. The Quality Technician will play a vital role in ensuring products and processes meet both customer and internal quality standards.
As a Quality Technician, you'll carry out product and process audits, inspect components, maintain calibration equipment and support containment activities when quality concerns arise. You'll also assist with supplier quality, investigate non-conformances, support root cause analysis and work closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement.
The Quality Technician will have the authority to stop production where quality issues are identified, making this an important position within the business. You'll work alongside experienced Quality Engineers, giving you the opportunity to further develop your technical skills and progress your career within a supportive environment.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience as a Quality Technician or within a manufacturing quality environment
* Experience using inspection equipment such as Verniers, Micrometers, CMM or Faro Arm
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
* Knowledge of quality systems and root cause investigations
* Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
* Competent using Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Full UK Driving Licence preferred
