Our client is a global leader in health diagnostic tools and services, specialising in providing easy‑to‑use diagnostics to improve patients' lives. They are now seeking an experienced R&D Scientist to contribute expertise in Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and assay development to support new product development.

As part of an established R&D team, the Senior R&D Scientist is responsible for leading independent research projects for the successful development of new diagnostic assays.

• Lead and deliver independent research projects while working collaboratively with other departments.
• Use Immunohistochemistry experience to design, perform, and interpret research experiments.
• Support the wider R&D group with the development of new diagnostic products.
• Work in line with regulatory and quality standards within the diagnostic sector.

Applicants will enjoy working in a practical R&D environment and be able to show prior experience supporting R&D projects to successful delivery.

• Prior industry experience working within R&D projects supporting diagnostic development.
• Good knowledge and practical experience with IHC and molecular biology techniques.
• Direct experience working with IVD development and design control would be beneficial.
• Prior experience working in a regulated environment (ISO
  13485, IVDR).
• Educated to PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in a relevant scientific discipline.
