Senior R&D Scientist - Immunohistochemistry

Location – Newcastle (On-site position)

Sector – Diagnostics

Salary – c £45,000 (Dependent on experience)

As part of an established R&D team, the Senior R&D Scientist is responsible for leading independent research projects for the successful development of new diagnostic assays.

• Lead and deliver independent research projects while working collaboratively with other departments
• Use Immunohistochemistry experience to design, perform, and interpret research experiments
• Support the wider R&D group with the development of new diagnostic products
• Work in-line with regulatory and quality standards within the diagnostic sector

• Prior industry experience working within R&D projects supporting diagnostic development
• Good knowledge and practical experience with IHC and molecular biology techniques
• Direct experience working with IVD development and design control would be beneficial
• Prior experience working in a regulated environment (ISO
  13485, IVDR)
• Educated to PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in a relevant scientific discipline
