Newcastle United are seeking a Research & Insights Analyst to join their Recruitment department, supporting Talent Identification through high-quality research, data analysis, and strategic insight.

Working across First Team, Global Talent, and Academy Recruitment
, this role will deliver research projects, benchmarking, market analysis, and evidence-based recommendations that help shape recruitment strategy and decision-making across the club.

Research & Strategic Insight
  • Deliver research projects aligned to recruitment priorities and long-term development objectives.
  • Conduct benchmarking, trend analysis, and market research across domestic and international football.
  • Identify emerging trends, innovations, and best practice within elite football and high-performance environments.
  • Perform horizon scanning to support future recruitment planning.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyse and interpret research, performance data, and recruitment information to generate actionable insights.
  • Produce high-quality reports, player dossiers, presentations, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Translate complex research and data into clear, engaging, and accessible outputs.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations to support football decision-making.
  • Work closely with recruitment leads, analysts, scouts, and senior football staff.
  • Support strategic recruitment projects across the First Team, Global Talent, and Academy.
  • Coordinate and monitor research and development projects across the department.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing recruitment environment.
  • Degree in a sports-related discipline (or equivalent experience within football or sporting recruitment).
  • Strong research, analytical, and insight-generation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience producing reports, presentations, and data visualisations.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau
    , or similar reporting tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information.
