Mitie is looking for a retail security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.

Driver preferred or willing to travel to:
Newcastle, Washington, Chester Le street, Bishop Auckland, Durham, Sedgefield, Darlington and various other locations as required. Working a mixture of early, middle, and late shifts. Must be able to travel home from the above locations after a 23:00 finish by public transport.

Pay rate: £12.60.

Hours:

9 hours per week contracted, with the ability for overtime up to 45 hours per week.

• Current SIA licence or SIA certificates (training for a licence can be provided in some circumstances).
• Full 5‑year checkable employment/education history (failure to provide may result in offer withdrawal or employment termination).

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To deter violence and public order offences
• To conduct patrols of the store
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the store management teams
• Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
• To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
