Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong technical background in machining and metal cutting? Do you enjoy developing relationships, solving customer challenges, and growing business in advanced manufacturing sectors? If so, this could be an excellent next step.
A leading global cutting‑tool manufacturer is looking for a motivated Area Sales Manager to manage and grow sales across the North East region. You’ll be working with customers in aerospace, oil & gas, automotive, and other precision engineering environments — helping them improve productivity through high‑performance tooling solutions.

The Role
As Area Sales Engineer, you will:

* Monitor and report on sales performance, ensuring targets are achieved

* Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region

* Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline

* Work closely with customers to understand their machining challenges and requirements

* Implement strategic plans to drive market penetration and territory growth
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:

* Industry experience — ideally a time‑served engineer with exposure to aerospace, oil & gas, automotive, or precision machining

* Strong technical knowledge of metal cutting and machining processes

* Excellent communication skills — confident, clear, and customer‑focused

* Problem‑solving ability — resourceful, practical, and solutions‑driven

* Good IT skills for reporting, CRM, and sales activity management
