A growing North East technology business is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and support continued commercial growth.

This role is suited to a proactive and relationship driven salesperson who enjoys building opportunities from scratch, developing trusted client relationships and representing a business professionally in the local market.

The Role

You will play a key role in expanding the company’s customer base by generating new business opportunities and strengthening long term client relationships.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively generating new business through cold calling and outbound outreach
  • Attending networking events and industry functions to promote the company brand
  • Building relationships with business owners and decision makers across the region
  • Managing the full sales lifecycle from initial contact through to contract win
  • Developing and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities
  • Supporting client renewals and ongoing account relationships
  • Working closely with internal technical teams to ensure successful onboarding
  • Maintaining accurate sales activity and documentation within company systems
About You

We are looking for someone who combines commercial drive with professionalism and trust.

You will likely be:

  • Comfortable picking up the phone and creating opportunities through outbound activity
  • Confident representing a business externally at events and client meetings
  • Mature, reliable and professional in your approach
  • Self motivated and able to manage your own workload
  • Organised and process driven, ensuring work is completed correctly
  • A strong relationship builder who enjoys winning new business

Experience with in enterprise or larger corporate environments would be advantageous, particularly where structured sales processes and professional standards have been developed.
